WHO IS OUR YOUTH PROGRAM FOR?

Our Youth Program is for any youth between the ages of 5 and 17 that needs help with self development.  Our program, which is run by DeShawn Riley, has been designed to help foster self-discipline and self -awareness in children, pre-teens and teens. The program is based on the teachings from ancient warriors of south-east Asia called the Satria Fighting Arts.

YOUTH PROGRAM GOALS

Children Embracing in Circle

BUILDING FOUNDATIONS

Building Foundations, connections, and communities starts with our children learning how to build these things. Our First goal is to be that foundation for our students. Our children need to know that they have people they can trust and look up to for support and advice.

DOING NOT SAYING

Our children learn by watching us not by listening to us. Our Second goal is to practice what we preach. Respect, Courtesy and Coping Skills are high on our priority of lessons to be taught and we teach them by practicing these actions ourselves.

SELF DEFENSE

The Fight for Us Youth Program is based in martial arts philosophies and therefore self defense techniques are a big part of this program. In learning these skills students also gain self awareness, self confidence and self disciple. Our Third Goal is to teach our students how to defend themselves.

Hands Together

BEYOND THE MAT

The Fight for Us Program knows and understands that life has many facets. Our Fourth Goal is to help with things like Mentorship, Health & Wellness, Field Trips, Volunteering, Tutoring, Job Readiness, Scholarships and Youth Support Groups.

Brothers

END GOAL

Our Final Goal is to encourage our students to become a mentor to a younger person. Our Program is based in building Communities, Connections and Foundations and we do this by helping each other become better human beings from the beginning.
